What we believe @ The better life in CHrist

  • We believe in one true and living triune God: the Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the economy of the Holy Trinity who are co-equal, co-eternal, co-existent.

  • We believe God is the sole Creator of the Universe and is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent.

  • We believe in the beginning God created humanity in God’s own image; two persons male and female co-equal and responsible for the stewardship of creation and propagation of humanity.

  • We believe we are to treat others the way we want to be treated, thus promoting empathy, respect, and fairness by considering the thoughts, feelings, and perspectives of others.

  • We believe God speaks and talks with us and we can talk directly to God.

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is trustworthy and authoritative.

  • We believe God speaks by the indwelling Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, the church, nature, and our experiences.

  • We believe in Spiritual gifts, Spiritual discernment and the Biblical imperative of producing Spiritual fruit.

  • We believe God is the God of Science and there is a complementarity between the natural and supernatural, which together exist as one reality.

  • We believe God loved the world and sent His Son Jesus to be the propitiation for our sins.

  • We believe God initiates the process of salvation and gives us faith and grace to believe.

  • We believe after conversion we should strive to have the mind and character of Christ.

  • We believe God has a plan and purpose for our lives, and that He equips and empowers us to find meaning in life.

  • We believe in the one, global Church made up of all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord.

  • We believe the Kingdom of God has come in the person and works of Jesus, is at work in the Christian Church, and will culminate when Christ returns.

  • We believe in soul liberty, religious freedom and freedom of conscience.

  • We believe Christians should act with prudence and be cooperative with other religious bodies and organizations when appropriate.

  • We believe in a just and moral social order grounded in righteousness, law, and justice.

  • We believe in a proper balance in the separation of Church and State, where the State does not interfere with the Church's Kingdom mission, and where religion is not reduced to political purposes and politics used for a religious agenda.

  • We believe that life and family form the fabric of a healthy society, and that a strong education begins in the home and is nurtured through public, private, and home schools.

  • We believe that there is a time for peace and a time for war, as Scripture teaches, but that followers of Christ should pursue peace and engage in war only when it is just and necessary.

We accept the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message (BF&M) as a confession of faith and a doctrinal guide.
