Donna and Dan Stallard

We all have a story—with a beginning, a middle, and an end. Ours began in high school, and for the past 47 years, our love has only grown deeper and stronger.

After high school Dan joined the Marines in 1980, and we were married the following year. In 1985, during our second enlistment, we both came to a true and living faith in Jesus Christ. While still in the Marine Corps, Dan sensed a vocational call to ministry, which led him to pursue theological education outside the military. After a season of pastoring, we felt a renewed calling to return to military life—this time with Dan serving as a Navy Chaplain from 1992 until his retirement in 2020, with Donna faithfully serving alongside him every step of the way.

Now, after 44 years of marriage and at least 25 moves, we’ve settled in Ponte Vedra, Florida, where we are active members of Chets Creek Church at Palm Valley. We are blessed with three grown children, a wonderful daughter-in-law and two witty sons-in-law, and six amazing grandchildren.

Together, we share the vision and mission of The Better Life in Christ, and invite you to join us on this journey toward a deeper faith, a stronger walk, and a better life in Jesus. Thus “let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes upon Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne” (Hebrews 12:1b-2).
